For the curious, we think this is the house Emily lived in one year. I always thought it was in the boonies 15 minutes from anything else, but you can see the library is right behind it. (Wellesley, MA)

One night we decided to have a barbecue, so we stole the lid off a trash can behind a nearby building and filled it with charcoal. Due to the statute of limitations I now dare to fess up. We also had no appreciation for the greatness of midcentury modern design and thus filled the living room with road signs and posters, and the kitchen windowsill was lined dutifully with beer bottles (not mine, not mine!).
